Handcrafted Gold Filled
FAQs
Jewelry that is hand-cut from gold-filled sheet metal or wire may have edges that are raw brass, and can react to humidity and cause a patina around the edges. Don't worry this can be fixed; to maintain your jewelry's quality, polish it regularly with the provided cloth and store it in a dry environment.
Since gold-filled materials are not solid gold, there are certain limitations when working with them; we are unable to sand or melt the metal. As a result, you may notice solder joints in some pieces where the ends are connected. This is a natural characteristic of the handcrafted process and does not affect the durability or beauty of the jewelry.

How to care for your jewelry
-
Apply perfumes and hand sanitizers on prior before putting on your jewelry
-
Store your jewelry in an airtight bag or box and away from humidity to prevent darkening of your jewelry (both 14k gold filled + sterling silver)
-
Polishing your jewelry can get rid of any oils or dirt on the metals surface.
-
Clean jewelry weekly! Proper care can extend the lifespan of your jewelry.
-
Always remove rings or bangles prior to working out, doing dishes, gardening, cleaning etc. This prevents deep scratches from forming on the metal and compromising the integrity of the 14k solid gold layer.
-
When soldering gold-filled jewelry, the base metal at the connection point may become exposed, resulting in a small dark spot. Luckily, this be easily removed with a polishing pad or jewelry cloth!
-
Certain necklaces, especially those with a dainty chain, require extra care to prevent pulling the chain too much. We recognize that accidents happen; if your chain breaks within 30 days of purchase, we will replace it at no cost to you.
-
Hand-stamped jewelry can be filled with enamel, which may wear down over time. We are always available to refill your enamel at no charge, aside from the shipping cost.
